КТО ТАКИЕ КОБЗАРИ

This lesson is about Ukrainian itinerant folk musicians, or kobzars, who the text says were unique to Ukraine. In other countries there were wandering musicians and minstrels, but they sang romantic ballads. The kobzars, by contrast, sang about great events, wars, heroic deeds and became the source of information about Ukrainian history. There is a two and a half minute audio, followed by a text transcription, a vocabulary list with explanations in Russian as well as the English translation, finishing with three exercises to test knowledge of cases.
